Meet Andrew!
Andrew is 16 years old but is developmentally an 18 month old. He loves music and playing with any toy that makes sounds and music. His favorite T.V. shows are Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. He always has a smile even with all the adversity he has gone through. He was born at 24 weeks, was 2lbs 6 ozs and 10 1/2″ long. He spent his first three months in the neonatal unit. He has hydrocephalus ( over 70 brain surgeries), Epilepsy, Developmental dysplasia of the left hip (three surgeries), a G-tube for liquids, Developmentally delayed, Cerebral Palsy, Tactile defensive and Autistic tendencies. Even with all this he is a wonderful child and has a knack to make people smile. I really can’t thank=you enough for giving us this trip. It has been a really rough two years. My mom passed away in May of 2014 and I am the Representative of her Estate and it is still in Probate. My wife had double lung transplant in Sept of 2014 and spent most of the time in the hospital with complications (infections). She passed away June 3rd of this year. My daughter Pam has been a big help and this trip will be a great escape from it all.
