Meet Ellie!
Ellie is a bubbly 7 year old second grade student at Simonds Elementary. Ellie was born with Spina Bifida. She has had to endure many surgeries and medical interventions that have kept her away from school and its socializing for months at a time. Through all her trials she has always had an upbeat attitude and smile on her face. She always sees the best in every situation and finds her own way to overcome the issues that she faces.
She likes roughhousing with her brothers and sister, but all the horseplay stops when baby brother Ashton has any trouble. She sets aside all of her issues to stop and be his nurse. Ashton has a rare form of Rett syndrome and any need that he has she immediately sets aside her own needs to stops and help care for him.
Ellie loves crafting, baking, shopping and getting dirty playing outside with her 4 siblings. Her favorite T.V. shows are Supergirl, and Monster High. Her favorite foods are quiche, chocolate, and Nathans Hot dogs. A recent favorite is to sing karaoke with her sister and Meghan Trainor about her “Champagne Problems”.
Everyday brings something new, difficult & wonderful, we thank God for each one!
