Meet Emily!
A few weeks before her 4th birthday, she came down with a very high fever. After going to urgent care and the pediatrician four times within a week, her family knew something was wrong. After further testing, doctors found out Emily’s bone marrow was 95% cancer cells and she was diagnosed with B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
Emily is in treatment for another eight months where she receives daily oral chemotherapy at home and gets spinal taps and infusions every few months at the hospital.
Emily is a strong, social, fearless 5 year old little girl. She has the biggest personality—always making friends everywhere she goes. She loves playing dress-up, pretending she’s a princess, kicking the soccer ball with her brothers, shooting hoops, and riding her bike.
Emily loves school, her family and playing with her friends. She has shown everyone around her what true strength looks like. She has faced every obstacle with bravery and a smile that lights up even the darkest days.
We can’t wait to take Emily and her family to Disney World with the help of Jersey Mikes, Kroger, Planet Fitness, Masco, Kinetyc, Emagine Theatres, Canterbury Village, Village of Rochester, Glenlore Trails and our charitable partner Angels of Hope!
