Meet Jackson!
He’s 13-years-old and was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia at one week old. From six months to 10 years old, he had to get blood transfusions once every two to three weeks. That caused him to have iron overload which brought on more issues.
Jackson underwent a bone marrow transplant on November 13, 2020 to cure him of Sickle Cell Anemia. His father was his donor and although he had a few complications such as developing Graft vs. Host Disease, overall his transplant was a success.
Since his transplant he can now ‘live his best life’. He loves to play the drums and plays in the high school band as well as for the youth choir at church. He’s also a great artist. Jackson has an older brother and a younger sister and we’re taking them all to Disney!
We couldn’t do this without the help of our amazing sponsors: Kroger, Planet Fitness, Canterbury Village, Masco, Hollywood Casino at Greektown, Emagine Entertainment, Absopure, DFCU Financial and Angels of Hope
