Led by the inspiring Jay Towers, our group is comprised of passionate individuals who work tirelessly to make a positive impact. From organizing special events to coordinating with sponsors and volunteers, every team member plays a vital role in ensuring that each child and their family experience unforgettable moments. We are united by a common goal: to spread happiness and create cherished memories for those who need it most.
Jay Towers
Founder
Jay Towers, a beloved TV and radio host, has been a staple of Detroit’s media scene for nearly three decades. His love for Detroit is evident in his work as the morning anchor on Fox 2 Detroit and as the host of Jay Towers in the Morning on 100.3 WNIC. Jay’s dedication extends beyond the airwaves, as he hosts countless charity events throughout the year. Leading Jay’s Juniors into its 10th year, Jay continues to bring the same passion and commitment that has made the program a cherished tradition in the community.
Cody Trombley
Executive Director
Director of Marketing and Promotions at iHeartMedia Detroit, oversees six radio stations. With over 19 years in broadcast media, she’s skilled in advertising and event management. A Specs Howard graduate, is a member of it’s Hall of Fame. Likewise, Cody has led her team to multiple NAB Crystal Award nominations. She’s also been a driving force behind Jay’s Juniors, a significant community initiative.
Allyson Martinek
Managing Director
Allyson Martinek, the vibrant cohost of Jay Towers in the Morning, is a beloved Detroit personality. Known for her humorous storytelling and energetic presence, Allyson brings joy to listeners each morning on 100.3 WNIC. Off the air, she’s a dedicated animal lover and rescuer, a passionate TV enthusiast, and an accomplished author, making her a local favorite both in the studio and throughout Detroit.
Chelsea Kivell
Managing Director
Chelsea Kivell, the Executive Producer of Jay Towers in the Morning on 100.3 WNIC, is a key player in the Detroit radio scene. Known for her sarcastic and real approach, and her knack for keeping the show running smoothly, Chelsea is also the go-to for the Hollywood Minute, reflecting her love for reality TV and all things Hollywood. A proud lifelong South Lyon resident, Chelsea is a devoted sister and passionate food lover whose warmth and authenticity resonate with listeners.
Luanne Ewald
Medical Advisor
Luanne Ewald is the Chief Operating Officer at Michigan Medicine, leveraging her extensive experience in healthcare leadership. Previously CEO of Children’s Hospital of Michigan, she’s recognized as one of Michigan’s 100 Most Influential Women. Luanne combines strategic planning, operational excellence, and community engagement, while passionately advocating for pediatrics and women’s services.
Debbie Amatangelo
Charitable Advisor
Debbie Amatangelo, a technology sales professional with over a decade of experience, is Chairman of the Board for Angels of Hope. This organization supports children with cancer and their families. With an MBA from the University of Michigan, Debbie balances her career in software sales with her passionate commitment to improving lives through philanthropic leadership.
