Meet Monica!

She’s an incredible 15-year-old girl who has been through more than most people ever will—and she’s still smiling!

She fought brain cancer with courage, going through chemotherapy and radiation until she beat it. Then, even when she was diagnosed with ADEM a month after finishing radiation and couldn’t move her left side (and she’s left-handed!), she worked hard to learn how to talk again and is still working on walking and using her left hand.

Monica is super smart and gets almost all A’s in school. She plays percussion in the band, and likes playing sports for her school, especially basketball and softball. Monica is also a red belt in karate on her way to black belt—talk about strength!

She’s full of faith, determination, and has a sassy, funny, and competitive spirit that makes everyone around her smile.

We can’t wait to take Monica and her family to Disney World with the help of Jersey Mikes, Kroger, Planet Fitness, Masco, Kinetyc, Emagine Theatres, Canterbury Village, Village of Rochester, Glenlore Trails and our charitable partner Angels of Hope!

In the News | Official Contest Rules

For those who have inquired about Jay’s Juniors and its nonprofit status, it’s important to know that all donations are processed through our charitable partner, Angels of Hope, a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Our Jay’s Juniors team is a loving group of volunteers who receive no salary for their dedication. A typical all-expenses-paid Jay’s Juniors vacation at Christmas time for 25-30 families can cost anywhere between $450,000 to $500,000, covering hotel accommodations, ground transportation, multi-day theme park passes, meals, snacks, PhotoPass, and souvenir money. Additionally, Delta Airlines requires us to charter a plane to accommodate our families and volunteers, which generally costs close to $200,000. Please note, these costs can vary depending on circumstances, but rest assured that all funds are managed with the utmost care through the Jay’s Juniors team and Angels of Hope.
