Meet Nicole!

Meet Nicole: Nicole is a 16 year-old teenager who was born with hip dysplasia. At one point her hip got to a point of no return and they had to replace it when she was 12 years old. To this day, she has had an additional 5 hip revisions from the original replacement. This makes for a total of 6 hip replacement revisions which excludes the many surgeries prior. The revisions aren’t due to her age, but are due to allergies to metals, bone cement, etc. and to them malfunctioning. Although she has gone through so much, she is a bright 11th grade high school student who is apart of NHS and has a cumulative GPA of about 3.75. Along with her high schoolwork, she is also attending college online through a local college. Not only does she enjoy school, she loves spending time with friends and family, attending church, and helping others through Kiwanis of Woodhaven when possible. Nicole is also a bit obsessed with the character Olaf from Frozen. Her and her family also enjoy camping during the summer season. Music is a huge part of who she is as well. She has been in choir before and enjoys singing all the time just for fun. Nicole wants to thank her friends and family for being by her side through the years. Also from the bottom of her heart thank you to Jay Towers and his team for this wonderful opportunity!
